I love the insights you covered here - I agree, this film easily could have been a different flavor of a Twin Peaks-esque story ("something's rotten underneath this veneer"), but its intent is totally different. Your point about the depth of characters folds right into that, I think. I completely get Christof's ambition to bring a first-of-its-kind experience to the masses, but I'm with Lauren re: the morality of it. I also adore Laura Linney's manic turn in this, lol... to say nothing of Jim Carrey's brilliance. Great piece!
