Well thank you for the mention. 😊 Despite all the time I spend watching reaction/discussion videos on YouTube, I'd never heard or seen a word about "movie recaps" until now. (Hopefully that means I'm curating my YT tastes correctly.) It's such a depressing idea, mostly because it's something offered and/or used as a swift substitute for critical thinking efforts. ("If I don't spend 2 hours watching a movie, then I don't have to waste my time afterwards figuring out what it means or how I feel about it!") And because recaps are short, free, and available on their phones, that's more appealing to some people than leaving the house and having a theater experience. I'd rather they just admit that they're not a movie person and move along.
