Yesss, loved reading this. You touched on what was probably my favorite thing the film did, which was an immediate layering of anxieties from the very first scene. It was such an easy, deft way to retro-fit all of her worries onto the audience and get us right in there with her. Also, it was Maggie's character who really got me in the feels: when she's talking with Diana on the beach and interrupts her to say, "Fuck a doctor--what you need is love." Oof.
